Audio Technician

Location: UK - London

We are currently seeking an experienced Audio Technician to join our technical team at 4Wall.

Together, our technical team are responsible for the design, assembly, operation and maintenance of our technical equipment and they deliver a wide variety of productions to the highest standard in broadcast and live performance.

This is a varied role that involves recording and mixing of audio.  We’re looking for a candidate with extensive experience as a sound operating technician within a live production event environment.  

The successful candidate will specialise in audio whilst also being a technical all-rounder with an aptitude for learning new skills, have a can-do attitude, be a problem solver and enjoy a challenge. 
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Setting up studio and live sound reinforcement audio equipment.
  • Apply excellent technical knowledge to achieve the determined sound objectives.
  • Monitoring of audio signals to detect any potential sound deviations, proactively anticipating and correcting as necessary.
  • Balancing, mixing, editing and enhancing pre-recorded audio.
  • Attending and contributing to pre and post production meetings as required.
     

Qualifications and pre-requisites

  • Industry experience as a sound operating technician and proven track record within a live production environment.
  • A deep understanding of digital sound consoles and digital workflows.
  • Be Dante proficient.
  • Have a good understanding of RF.
  • Must have good aural skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • General technical ability, dexterity and agility.
  • The ability to work as part of a team.
  • Problem-solving ability.
  • Good sense of timing and swift reactions.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness and flexibility to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evenings and some weekend working.


Working hours

Full time.
