General Summary
The Director of Safety & Facilities is responsible for 4Wall Entertainment, Inc. Safety Program, construction and maintenance of facilities and the companies’ vehicle fleet as well as implementing corporate maintenance programs.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintained at a high degree or readiness to support Operations across the organization.
- Implement corporate-wide policies and procedures related to planned and unplanned maintenance of assets which will promote work standardization and consistent levels of maintenance across the organization.
- Develops, plans, and implements, in conjunction with RGMs and GMs, standard operating procedures (SOP), standards, and initiatives that help support and achieve organizational objectives from a national level as it relates to facilities, vehicles, and other equipment.
- Oversee and develop budgets, construction and maintenance of facilities
- Prepare regular reports as requested
Personal Responsibilities
- Undergoing training and staying abreast of the safety rules and regulations of all government entities at the federal, state and local levels.
- Conducting inspections and safety audits in order ensure compliance with applicable environmental and occupational health and safety requirements.
- Developing, implementing and maintaining employee training programs. Evaluating effectiveness of training programs and making necessary adjustments.
- Establishing and maintaining safety and training records.
- Developing, updating and managing workplace safety procedures, programs and policies.
- Responding to reported accidents in order to evaluate the Company’s current safety practices and developing policies and procedures for avoiding future occurrences.
- Maintaining a watch over the safety programs and ensuring that they are appropriate to offer requisite safety to the employees.
- Develop and manage multiple vendor relationships to ensure 4Wall Lighting Entertainment, Inc. maintenance program goals are met consistently.
- Works with Operations Managers at each location to develop facility operations systems by determining product handling and storage requirements; developing, implementing, enforcing, and evaluating policies and procedures; developing processes for receiving product, equipment utilization, inventory management, and shipping.
- Works with Operations Managers at each location to develop facility operations system improvements by analyzing process work flow, manning and space requirements, and equipment layout; implementing changes
- Oversee construction projects including obtaining bids, managing the budget, coordinating work to not interfere with operations, and ensuring timely results
- Oversee all company vehicle purchases, maintenance, transfers, sales, etc.
- All other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Provides direction, coordination and support to all team members, when appropriate
- Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating all job tasks, functions and equipment in a safe manner per company policy and that meets OSHA standards and other governmental or regulatory requirements. Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any work place hazards or safety concerns
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- Knowledge of operations, including security and safety programs, construction, personnel and labor relations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Computer literacy, facilities systems and financial management required.
- Must possess outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong ability to speak with poise
- Experience in organizational best practice implementation
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills
- Excels at operating in a fast-paced environment
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
