NATIONAL BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

JOB DESCRIPTION

General Summary 

National Business Development is responsible for creating relationships with new clients and maintaining existing clients for 4Wall Entertainment.  This includes Systems and Design, New Equipment Sales, Used Equipment Sales, and Rentals.   Responsible for generating profitable revenue through active and continual contact with key clients and markets. 

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the VP of Revenue to establish sales objectives, forecasts, budgets, and strategies. 
  • Directs and supports the consistent implementation of company-wide initiatives.  
  • Ensure compliance of brand standard procedures and policies.
  • Ensure company’s reputation and corporate values are upheld and enhanced.

Personal Responsibilities

  • Achievement of sales, profit, and strategic objectives.
  • Plan, organize, facilitate, attend, and/or participate in sales meetings. As needed, coordinates planning activities with other functions and stakeholders within the location and company-wide.
  • Analyzing of client needs, quoting prices, preparing the contract and closing orders 
  • Establish and maintain strategic business relationships
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while maintaining current customer base on a national level.
  • Develop, deploy and manage successful sales promotions and incentive programs to drive sustained revenue growth
  • Evaluating and reporting on lost sales activity.
  • Responsible for ensuring accurate and timely entries, per company standards, into the RentalWorks database. 
  • Communicating the equipment and services contracted to all 4Wall departments to ensure all details of the sale are covered
  • Coordinate with VP of Sales on approval process for non-standard pricing. 
  • Maintain awareness of customer credit status and take actions when required.
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

Team Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a wide and strong internal network with supporting functions to ensure efficient and productive output as a remote home office-based employee.
  • Effectively communicate customer needs, competitor activities and other market trends to the various 4Wall Entertainment functional stakeholders. Become an advocate for 4Wall Entertainment and work collaboratively with 4Wall Entertainment team to fulfill identified needs.
  • Encourage and drive a strong sales environment in order to further drive business and excellence within each given market.
  • Ensure that all employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are performing all job tasks, functions and operating equipment in a safe manner per company policy and in a manner that meets OSHA standards and other governmental or regulatory requirements.  Ensure that employees feel comfortable reporting any work place hazards or safety concerns
  • Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees. 

Key Requirements

  • Completion of bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience, preferred.
  • 5+ years of previous sales and customer service or comparable years in upwardly mobile positions
  • Extensive list of contacts within the industry  
  • Vast knowledge of the respective local markets, regionally, and nationally
  • Familiarity with entertainment lighting, audio, and other special event equipment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Superior Customer Service skills to deal with both internal and external personnel
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which drives revenue
  • Must be able to effectively handle stressful situations and meet deadlines and goals
  • Strong PC skills including: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.
  • Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives. 

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.

Availability

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

  • Position will require travel up 75%
