FABRICATOR

General Summary
The Fabricator is responsible for designing, cutting and shaping metal by setting up and programming, maintaining, and inspecting quality of the machines and tools.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Personal Responsibilities
- Fabrication duties such as installation of parts, pieces and elements of a designated project and welding to secure fastening for pieces including in the final product.
- Treatment and repair of metal surfaces to conform to design and ensure safe usage.
- Carpentry duties such as constructing, erecting, restoring, installing and repairing structures or fixtures of wood and other materials.
- Using necessary welding and carpenter’s tools in designing, assembling and repairing structures or fixtures.
- Uses chemical solutions, files, wire brushes, grinders, and other small hand tools, as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations.
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor or General Manager.
Key Requirements
- Current welding certification from an approved institution.
- 5+ years previous experience in similar role.
- Carpentry knowledge and experience.
- Must be capable of performing tasks such as measuring, cutting, sizing, and assembling.
- Strong mathematical and analytic skills to read blueprints and layout work assignments.
- Understanding structural basics including rigging, welding, erection, and reinforcements.
- Ability to organize assigned tasks for completion alone or with help.
- Ability to envision all steps in assigned tasks.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
