Project Technical Advisor

General Summary
The Project Technical Advisor is responsible for assisting the shop and sales staff with technical questions with our rental equipment and its use. Technical advisor will assist the shop to configure and test complex network systems as required. Technical advisor will operate and prioritize daily tasks based off input from each location’s operations managers.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
Personal Responsibilities
- Examine orders as directed to make sure they contain a complete working system
- Assist with repairs of 4Wall Rental Equipment
- Assist with prep and configuration rental equipment
- Advise sales and operations on equipment substitutes based off 4Wall equipment availability
- Work with customers to help them understand the rental equipment and troubleshoot any issue they have.
- Alert the shop to new software updates as they become available from equipment manufacturers.
- Other duties as requested by location Operations Managers or RGM
Team Responsibilities
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements:
- Must have good computer skills and take a proactive approach to troubleshooting and repair.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry with networking and control consoles.
- Fluency in English is required.
- 2+ years’ experience diagnosing, repairing and/or installing lighting and electronics (entertainment lighting preferred)
- Must be able to lift 75-100 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to bend, twist, kneel, and squat on a regular basis
- Must be able to stand for long periods of times.
- Must be able to safely operate a forklift, certification course will be provided if needed.
- Must be able to handle/use various hand tools
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability:
• Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
