General Summary
The Logistics Assistant has primary responsibility of supporting the Logistics Manager with tasks relating to the planning of trucks and routes and also to the support of the Drivers and Check-In teams. This role requires excellent organizational skills that ensure our team members are providing the very best customer service.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities.
Personal Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring items from the inbound and outbound docks are properly scanned and accounted for in an organized, safe manner; notifying the appropriate parties of damaged products when received
- Participate in loading/unloading of trucks, client pick-ups, etc.
- Assist the Logistics Manager with quality control within the department, truck assignments & routes, scheduling truck pick-ups/drop offs, and ensuring trucks and drivers are up to DOT regulations
- Partner with the Logistics Manager to provide timely reporting and address any issues/concerns as needed
- Observe all safety regulations and policies.
- Interact with all customers, internal and external, in a professional, friendly manner and provide outstanding customer service.
- Assist operations in keeping shop facility well maintained
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Learn and work in all departments within the Shop as requested by the Logistics or Operations Managers.
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience with loading docks, scheduling pick up/drop offs, and warehouse operations
- Understanding and knowledge of theatrical lighting, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment is preferred
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and requirements
- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook and Excel
- Ability to learn new software programs
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work overtime on nights and weekends on a semi-frequent basis
- Knowledge of basic operations, including security and safety programs, personnel and labor relations, repairs, and maintenance.
- Must possess outstanding communication skills
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and support team members
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
