General Summary
The National Accounts Receivable & Sales Tax Analyst is responsible for custom billing national clients as well as analyzing sales tax, filing returns company wide, and tracking internal labor.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Providing excellent service through communication with customers, employees and vendors, both written and verbally.
- Planning, prioritizing and organizing to ensure responsibilities are being met in a timely manner.
Personal Responsibilities
- Full cycle accounts receivable duties, including processing custom customer invoices on a daily basis for VP of Live Events and Seibo National Clients, communicating with salesmen to ensure customer invoices are accurate, verifying that cash receipts are posted correctly, insurance requirements are met for all orders, and all money for COD orders have been collected.
- Responsible for analyzing sales tax and filing returns company wide
- Process balance sheet for accounts receivable
- Tracking internal labor for PA location
- General accounting responsibilities, including journal entries, intercompany transactions, bank and general ledger account reconciliations.
- Other accounting and general office-related duties as assigned by management.
Team Responsibilities
- Assist Credit Department with collection calls and other billing and collections activities as assigned
Key Requirements
- Associates or Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- 4 Years of accounting experience (AP, AR, and/or General Ledger)
- Knowledge of accounting standards, conventions and principles is a must
- Experienced and skilled in bank and general ledger reconciliations
- Knowledge of accounting software, MAS 500 preferred
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required - ability to create formulas
- Stable work background is essential
- Knowledge of clerical and administrative procedures and systems such as filing and recordkeeping
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
- Attention to detail and accuracy
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 2 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
