CROSS RENTAL MANAGER

General Summary
The Cross Rental Manager works with the Account Managers to identify and solve shortages of equipment for each job. The responsibility also includes ensuring that returning gear is properly documented. The position also requires working directly with sales teams and asset teams to manage missing and damaged equipment returning from shows.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintains a high degree or readiness to support operations across the organization.
- Communicate with accounting, operations, and sales regarding order statuses.
- Prepare regular reports as requested
- Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
- Actively encourage and participate with employee engagement and culture-building initiatives.
Personal Responsibilities
- Organize and stay up-to-date on Purchase Orders and Rental Orders
- Locate and secure all sub-rental equipment
- Maintain working knowledge of all items in rental inventory, including but not limited to rigging, truss, staging, conventional, moving lights, intelligent lighting consoles, LEDs, and effects
- Communicate professionally and effectively with Account Managers, vendors and the Operations Manager to determine and secure the appropriate sub-rental equipment that is needed and get the proper approval
- Collect copies of missing and damaged reports for orders at end of day or next morning
- Review missing and damaged reports for accuracy
- Spend time with shop departments looking for any equipment missing after check-in procedures have been completed
- Communicate with clients regarding missing equipment, both via email and over the phone as necessary and including follow ups
- Discuss equipment values with sales team members to determine client impact
- Create ‘lost’ orders within inventory management system and submit to accounting for payment
- Other duties as assigned by management
Team Responsibilities
- Ensure that all M&D procedures are followed by individual departments
- Coordinate with Operations Manager and Shop Foreman on lost equipment within departments and its potential impact
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements:
- 2-3 years show site experience preferred
- Customer service experience is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Familiarity with entertainment lighting and other special event equipment
- Knowledge of respective local markets
- Understanding and knowledge of theatrical lighting, staging, rigging, and entertainment equipment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
