General Summary
The Rental Project Manager’s primary role is to directly interact with Account Executives and clients to plan, develop and execute a rental project. Throughout the project’s life cycle, this role will define objectives, maintain quality control and support client relations at all times.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Maintain a high level of product knowledge and awareness of client needs in regard to building shows, executing preps, and ensuring on-site success for the client.
Personal Responsibilities
- Assist clients in all aspects of creating a quality show: equipment choices, review of show files, executing prep and trucking, ensuring quality control of equipment and labor
- Enter and maintain orders for other sales agents into inventory software system and communicate equipment requirements and timeframes to Operations and Logistics Departments.
- Work with road staff to ensure that our high standards are maintained.
- Keep abreast of new technology and trends in the entertainment industry. Identify skills needed to perform job duties more effectively and work with management to obtain the support for training.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Interface with sales team, operations, and end user to assist in managing and implementing a service or product solution that meets the budget and creative criteria for new or existing projects.
- Consider the cost and benefit implications of team action plans and activities and contribute to their development and completion.
- Work collaboratively with internal customers, clients and vendors.
- Participate in team meetings, assist and train team members, take responsibility for contributing to the success of the team, offer solutions to team problems and promote a positive team environment.
Key Requirements
- Working knowledge of entertainment lighting and/or video.
- Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems.
- Programming and computer networking skills.
- Must be extremely organized and have excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
