Purpose and scope of the role:
Project management of audio visual and technical solution installations at worldwide exhibitions, conferences and events.
Main duties and key responsibilities:
The list below is not an exclusive or exhaustive list of duties and the role holder will be expected to perform different tasks as may reasonably be necessitated by his/her changing role within the organisation and the overall business.
Primary responsibilities:
- Taking a client brief, and providing a quotation that is both commercially and technically sound, in a timely fashion.
- Liaising with clients in advance of an event to ensure all of the right questions have been asked and that we are appropriately prepared to deliver at the highest of standards.
- Ensuring that AV installations are managed smoothly both pre-show and on-site, exceeding our client’s expectations where possible.
- Maintaining control of project costs, helping to ensure that projects generate the highest possible profit margins whilst maintaining high quality standards.
- For larger shows taking responsibility for the on-site management of all internal crew, external contractors and all equipment.
- Maintaining Health and Safety standards and ensuring on-site Health and Safety briefings are held.
- Organising and leading post-show reviews to discuss any operational issues and assess project profitability. Where improvements are needed, creating an action plan which is monitored until all points have been cleared.
- Providing additional on-site support to clients as and when it is needed.
- Liaising with the warehouse regarding prep schedules for each event and overseeing the kit loading process.
- Attending meetings with the Directors to outline any issues regarding previous and forthcoming projects.
- Overseeing that travel and accommodation requirements have been satisfied by the logistics team and project support staff.
- Ensuring that all office administration is carried out within the set procedures and in a timely fashion, maximising the efficiency of each project.
- Acting at all times as an advocate of and in the best interests of 4Wall. This includes engaging with our clients where appropriate, helping to grow the accounts that we already have and win new business in the marketplace.
