General Summary
The Manager of 3D Workflow and Development's primary role is to oversee the 3D Pipeline for Virtual and Live Production. Manager of 3D Workflow and Development will identify and validate new technology and workflows alongside the Director's of Virtual Production.
Responsibilities of this position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Oversee Previsualization Technology with the Director's of Virtual Production.
- Act as part of the core consulting team on all Virtual Production, Live Production and Installation needs as it relates to 3D workflows.
- Act as the overall Pre-Production Programmer on individual jobs.
- Point of Contact on projects between content and client as it relates directly to the execution of the workflow.
Personal Responsibilities
- Help in the development of new practices in cross platform integration.
- Continue to be proficient in the operation of all platforms as it relates to the software/hardware workflows in place.
- On occasion step into key technical positions on site.
- Continue to learn new hardware and software related to the field.
- Work as a liaison between 4Wall and manufacturers/developers as it relates to support, development and implementation.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Lead Onsite crews as well as 3D teams on a per project basis.
- Help in the process of training new members of the team and freelance assets.
- Ensure that all team members maintain high customer relations for internal and external customers.
- Communicate in a positive, informative and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
Key Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years experience in entertainment lighting, staging and video business
- Ability to work well with others and collaborate on projects.
- Ability to see projects through from beginning to end
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to direct, coach, mentor, and support team members.
- Proficiency in project and task management, and applications such as Word, Excel, AutoCAD/Vectorworks and inventory software systems.
- Must be extremely organized and have excellent interpersonal, verbal & written communication skills.
- Must adhere to all company policies, SOPs, and other management directives.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand and walk. When the employee is on-site, the position will require to regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 75-100 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. On-site, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate.
Availability
- Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
