Senior Project Engineer

General Summary
The Senior Project Engineer is considered an expert in lighting system integration and system design and will work closely with the project team to be the on-site systems engineer. This person will act as the technical interface with the contractor during installation and start-up of the lighting controls. This work will be completed during the construction phase of the project. The Senior Project Engineer will make sure that essential tasks are completed on time, in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Organizational Responsibilities
- Consult with the SWAD project team as required to create a conceptual lighting control design
- Work with the 4Wall project team to complete the specified design for a functional lighting control system
- Work with the 4Wall project team to develop system design standards
- Work with the AL SHAFAR UNITED (ASU) to maintain the submittal schedule for the design deliverables
- Work with the ETC factory to come up with standard application of gear throughout the whole project
- Assist in systems pre-programming and the development of the park wide control system
- Work with the 4Wall and ASU project team to confirm to SWAD CAD and BIM standards
- Work with ride control engineers to develop interface between the lighting control systems and the RSS
- Develop interface between the lighting control systems and the BMS
- Attend shop drawing reviews in person and via video conferencing
- Other duties as assigned.
Personal Responsibilities
- Work with the CAD teams to create system sales risers and cut sheets
- Assist the engineering team with site walks to gather information
- Complete any other tasks or responsibilities required by 4Wall Management
Team Responsibilities
- Assist with mockups and demonstrations
- Communicate and collaborate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees
- Attend and participate in all meetings required
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor
Key Requirements:
- Has 5 years of experience in the lighting industry designing or installing systems
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills to explain technical matters
- Must have solid computer skills and can draft in Auto CAD
- Must have an in-depth understanding of lighting technologies and protocols, and can layout a system
- Able to safely lift 50lbs.
- Able to climb ladders and stairs
- Undergraduate degree in a technical field is preferred.
- Length of experience, specific skills/knowledge, physical requirements, etc.
Physical Requirements
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit, stand, walk or climb. The employee may be on their feet for the full duration of their shift. Regular use of computer monitors, and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. When available, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort.
Availability:
- Must be available on-call in the evenings and weekends, as required.
