Supervises: A/V Integration Team


General Summary 

The Senior Director of A/V Integration is responsible for organizing and managing the execution phase of any A/V portion of a project and make sure that essential tasks are completed on-time, within the estimated budget for the project and in compliance with contracted project specifications and requirements.  While this role will be primarily supporting the Systems and Design team, the Senior Director of A/V Integration will also be a resource within the organization by conducting product training, forging relationships with A/V manufacturers, and assisting with rental projects.

Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:

Organizational Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate per 4Wall quality standards in all work activities
  • Achieve operational objectives by contributing information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviews.
  • Implementation of production, productivity, quality, and customer service standards.
  • Meet financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances.
  • Create and/or strengthen relationships with A/V equipment manufacturers crucial to 4Wall’s long-term interests.

Personal Responsibilities

  • Oversee the A/V Systems & Design project team.
  • Support all 4Wall locations with projects in development (sales, systems, and rentals) as needed by offering technical design assistance, reviewing drawings, and offering input for estimating resources required for the project, along with project budgeting and margin goals.
  • Forge relationships with new and existing 4Wall clients to drive the expansion of services offered.
  • Carry out post-mortem meetings on key or large-scale projects to identify areas of excellence as well as areas for improvement.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of training and professional certifications (where applicable) for A/V Project Managers and A/V Technicians.
  • Assess existing systems on-site for upgrade / repair needs
  • Set up and execute A/V equipment demos for clients
  • Initiate a discovery phase to gather all available data, drawings and specifications on the project and acquire additional information to properly design, procure and install
  • Create a detailed work plan which identifies resources and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project; review the schedule with the National Project Director and other staff that will be affected; revise the schedule as required
  • Execute a site visit to verify field measurements, confirm existing equipment, and evaluate other project requirements
  • Coordinate design and drawing requirements, work with internal resources to provide submittals per the project schedule
  • Select staff and/or contract consultants with appropriate skills for the project activities
  • Supervise and coordinate installation crews and sub-contractors provided per the established policies and practices of the organization
  • Update stakeholders, management, project team members and client on the progress of the project
  • Request POs and release materials per the project plan; create out contracts as needed
  • Monitor and approve all budgeted project expenditures per established accounting policies and procedures, report variance to senior management on a regular basis
  • Oversee the programming and configuration of all A/V equipment per specifications
  • Oversee the check-in and prep all incoming materials and equipment per the BOM and system design documentation
  • Complete final punch list items, oversee final systems checks, ensure a final handover, and issue a final Warranty letter to the client  
  • Organize client training per the contract
  • Evaluate and report to management on the outcomes of the project as established during the planning phase
  • Perform product training sessions for internal employees as need and/or requested 
  • Assist with Rental projects when needed.   
  • Stay educated and informed on competitive developments and market trends
  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ensure that all A/V project employees, vendors, outside contractors, etc. are operating in a safe manner that meets OSHA standards and other regulatory requirements.  Ensure that A/V employees feel comfortable reporting any workplace hazards or safety concerns.
  • Will meet defined objectives, provide timely reporting, training, coaching, and discipline.
  • Ensure proper recruiting, selecting, orientation, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining of A/V employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising, and reviewing job contributions; enforcing policies and procedures.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years in supervisory and leadership positions managing various types of teams.
  • Superior knowledge of video equipment including brands, uses, values, etc.
  • Knowledge of vendors, distributors, and all other suppliers related to 4Wall
  • Substantial knowledge of 4Wall equipment, processes, and procedures.  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Superior Customer Service skills to deal with both internal and external personnel
  • In depth knowledge of Rental Works
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in organizational best practice implementation
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills
  • Ability to plan, organize, and implement processes which drive the department both in financial and organizational growth.
  • Strong PC skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet.
  • Strong CAD and 3D skills, including VectorWorks, AutoCAD, Revit, 3dsMAX, etc.

Physical Requirements

The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly sit. The employee may choose to stand and move within their working area. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include the ability to communicate. Generally, the employee will be in a temperature-controlled work environment set for general comfort. 

Availability:

  • Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.
