Mobile Service Technician

General summary
The Mobile Service Technician is responsible for the more in-depth servicing and repair of all company-owned lighting and video equipment. This includes providing technical support to all locations as needed, implementing software updates, and working with the National Assets team and the Purchasing Department on replacement part orders.
Responsibilities of Position: Duties include but are not limited to:
Personal Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, repair and maintain the equipment, including providing technical support to customers as needed.
- Implement software updates as needed.
- Work with the National Assets team and local Inventory Control Managers (ICM) to coordinate RMA requests.
- Coordinate with the National Assets team and Purchasing Department on replacement part orders and follow-up to ensure that parts are received in a timely manner.
- Other duties as assigned.
Team Responsibilities
- Learn and work in other departments within each location as requested by the National Assets team
- Communicate in a positive and professional manner with all 4Wall Entertainment employees.
- Maintain the highest level of customer relations
- Work in a safe manner and report any safety concerns to your direct supervisor, Operations Manager, or General Manager
Key Requirements:
- Experience in the repair of equipment manufactured by some of the following vendors: ETC, Chauvet, Martin, GrandMA, Robe, etc.
- Demonstrated technical/electronics training and/or experience.
- Must have good troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Must be able to take directions as well as multi-task in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
- Must have a solid work background, including recent consistent work experience. Gaps must be explainable.
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-oriented and have great customer service skills.
- Experience in entertainment lighting industry is strongly preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.; duties include loading and unloading trucks, as well as moving projection equipment.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time, climb ladders and safely use hand and power tools.
- High School Diploma or GED is required.
- Must be able to effectively communicate in English.
The job duties and tasks of this position require the employee to regularly stand and walk. Regular use of computer monitors and a keyboard/mouse will be required. The employee must regularly push, pull, bend, climb, reach, twist, and kneel as well as lift and/or move 50 pounds. Other physical requirements of the job include communication and visual acuity such as close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Generally, the employee will not be in a temperature-controlled work environment and may experience temperature variations due to local weather conditions.
Availability:
• Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, and travel when required.
Position Location and/or Territory and Travel:
• Position will be required to travel frequently to 4Wall locations as well as onsite jobs.
