Director of Video Engineering

Location: New Jersey

An internationally recognized full-service lighting, video, and rigging company servicing all facets of the entertainment industry that operates in fourteen offices in the US and internationally in the UK. 4Wall has made its mark in the California Desert for the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, to the High Roller in Las Vegas, to Saks Fifth Ave in New York City for the ‘Land of 1000 Delights’ display.

We are looking for a Director of Video Engineering to come join the 4Wall team!

What you will be doing: While every day is different at 4Wall, you will be responsible for identifying video technology needs, conducting market research on product offerings and integrating plans with the National Asset staff, Technical Directors, Video Department Leads and Project Managers. The person in this role will build relationships with both internal and external clients and strive to be a resource to all at 4Wall.

What you bring to the table:  Our ideal candidate will have superior video product knowledge to assist 4Wall’s video sales and technical staff. 

  • Continually learn about new and emerging video technology, keeping abreast of changes in the market.
  • Provide support and expertise to all video team members, sales staff, project managers and show staff.
  • Design and oversee the build of custom video systems for media servers, playback devices, record devices and video switching systems.
  • Collaborate with the National team regarding new technology in the video market that would be a good fit for 4Wall’s rental inventory.
  • Educate and communicate with the sales staff, Technical Directors and Project Managers on best practices to implement new technology into their jobs.
  • Collaborate with the integration team in creating SOPs for prep and maintenance of new technology products.
  • Advise sales staff and project managers on creating quotes for technical projects.

Key Requirements:

  • In depth knowledge of video projection, LED, cameras, image processing and video switching equipment including brands, uses, values, etc.
  • Knowledge of vendors, distributors, and all other suppliers related to 4Wall
  • Substantial knowledge of 4Wall equipment, processes, and procedures  
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Must be responsible, self-motivated, self-starter, personable and well organized
  • Ability to design Video systems in Connect CAD

What you should know:
This position is full time.

Must be available to work in the evenings and weekends, as required.

Position is located in Moonachie, NJ

Position will require limited travel but will be dependent on business requirements.  

Pay Range: $125,000 - $175,000 USD
