Driver
Location: BlackburnWe are currently seeking an experienced Driver to join our team at 4Wall.
We’re looking for a candidate with extensive experience driving Long-Wheel-Based vans to deliver and collect Audio Visual equipment to and from our Blackburn location.
The successful candidate will have a full clean UK driving license, communicate professionally and effectively at all levels, both in writing and verbally, works well within a team environment, and demonstrates enthusiasm for the task at hand.
Primary Responsibilities
- Safe delivery and collection of a wide range of equipment in a timely fashion and accurate completion of vehicle checklists
- Organisation and filing of pick lists, delivery and collection notes
- Management of paperwork for all delivery/collection jobs - Accurate completion of paperwork everything received into your care is ticked off and ensuring signatures are obtained from clients.
- Check returned equipment for any damage or missing items, report any damaged or missing equipment to line manager, and returning equipment to the warehouse.
- Assist Technicians on installs and derigs where appropriate and assisting in the loading/unloading of vans or trucks.
- When in the warehouse ensure a clean and tidy work area at the end of the day.
- In quiet times, undertake work in the warehouse or adhoc premises maintenance activities such as sweeping the car park, tidying the warehouse etc.
Qualifications and pre-requisites
- A full clean UK driving license
- Must have a positive attitude, be team-orientated and have great customer service skills.
- The ability and willingness to facilitate regular overtime to include early mornings, late evenings and some weekend work.
- The ability and willingness to facilitate overnight stays
- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with co-workers and clients, often under deadline pressure.
- Must be able to lift 25kg, duties include loading and unloading trucks.
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
- Excellent hearing and manual dexterity.
Working hours
Full time. To include working outside of ‘normal’ business hours. This will include, early mornings, late evenings and some weekend work.
