4Wall Entertainment Expands Audio Footprint to Washington D.C. with Acquisition of New Wave Audio

4Wall Entertainment has acquired New Wave Audio, a Washington D.C. based audio production company, marking the next step in 4Wall's continued buildout of its audio division. New Wave co-founders Nick Bain and Aijne Williams will both join the 4Wall DC team as Account Executives as part of the transaction. The acquisition brings full-service audio capabilities into the D.C. market for the first time and follows a year of significant audio investment by 4Wall in both personnel and equipment.

"As we continue investing in audio solutions our top priority remains supporting our customers in every market," said David Caulwell, Vice President of Audio Services at 4Wall. "Our focus is to strengthen each region with local expertise and infrastructure already aligned with the needs of the customers we serve. This is our latest step in expanding support for the D.C. Metro area. Nick [Bain] and Aijne [Williams] have been serving the local audio community for years and bring deep knowledge of the venues, relationships, and expectations that make this market unique."

Bain and Williams have collaborated with the 4Wall D.C. team since 2024, providing audio equipment and on-site support for iconic DC-area projects including St. Jude's annual gala, Library of Congress Congressional Dialog series, events at the Washington National Cathedral and musical performances by Wyclef Jean, Bilal, and Robert Glasper.

"We had already been working alongside 4Wall for a year and a half, so the synergy was there," said Bain. "What stood out to us was the opportunity to keep building. We're not stepping away from growing a company. We're stepping into a position to grow and build something bigger, with the resources of an established team behind us."

For Williams, the timing of 4Wall's broader audio expansion was a significant factor.

"Because 4Wall is standing up the audio side of things, this felt like getting in on the ground floor," Williams said. "There's a whole machine being built that allows you to succeed. The smaller things that used to derail you or take your focus aren't there anymore. Now it's not about navigating a path to get somewhere, it's about deciding which direction to go."

The transition is underway, with New Wave Audio merging into the 4Wall D.C. operation. The incoming inventory is purpose-built for corporate, cultural, and live event work that defines the D.C. market and complements 4Wall's existing audio roster. Together with the L-Acoustics, Riedel, Bolero, and Yamaha additions over the past 6 months, the acquisition rounds out 4Wall's audio capabilities across both large-format and small-to-mid-format applications.

"Bain described his conversations with Caulwell and the 4Wall team, saying, "They told us - what you have been doing works for the market you're in. We don't want to change how you're doing things, we want to add support to it. It just feels good to be on the same page on everything. We look forward to what our future holds."
