4Wall Builds the Industry's Largest Fleet of Disguise EX 3+

LAS VEGAS, NV - 4Wall Entertainment, a global leader in event technology solutions, has made a major investment in its video division to build the largest fleet of Disguise EX 3+ media servers in the industry, bringing the full Disguise workflow to a far wider range of productions.

The decision was driven by a clear pattern in client demand. Across productions of every scale, a dependable media server workflow stands as one of the most critical factors in delivering a successful event. The EX 3+ fills that gap, giving 4Wall the ability to deliver uncompromising Disguise flexibility and performance on projects of any size.

"Putting more Disguise servers in the field lets us bring this workflow to far more shows than we could before," said Mathew Leland, VP of Special Projects at 4Wall. "Not every project needs the full power of a flagship machine, but every project benefits from the same workflow. This gives our clients continuity from their biggest shows to their smallest."

The platform was also a natural fit for 4Wall's team. With one of the deepest benches of Disguise experts in the industry, the company paired hardware it knew intimately with the expertise to push it further. That work ranges from developing custom applications on the Disguise APIs to building its own render nodes for virtual production.

At the core of the investment was playback performance.

"What sold us was playback performance," Leland said. "We needed a server that could match the NotchLC playback of our larger machines, and the EX 3+ delivers it in a compact package. That means our technologists get the toolset they rely on whether they're on a stadium tour or a corporate breakout."

Powered by an NVIDIA Ada Lovelace GPU in a compact 2RU chassis, the server brings the same optimization 4Wall relies on from its flagship systems: dependable multi-output sync, pixel-accurate resolution, and robust show control for fast system integration.

The fleet is already at work across some of 4Wall's highest-profile productions. The core server package on Saturday Night Live runs on EX 3+, and 4Wall's Car Process stage at Great Point Studios is built entirely on the platform. The latter was made possible in part by Disguise unlocking the color pipeline license across the EX line, a capability that proved essential for rendered playback on set.

The EX 3+ also reshapes how 4Wall moves from pre-production into show day. Because early-stage work in the visualizer rarely requires a fully loaded machine, the platform lets 4Wall provision the right tools at the right cost from pre-vis through rehearsal, opening high-end workflows to projects that were traditionally priced out.

"The EX range was built to bring high-end media server performance to more productions, from theatre and corporate events to touring and fixed installations," said Ollie Newland, Product Manager for Live and LBX at Disguise. "Working with 4Wall has been a real pleasure, and our collaboration continues to grow. Their team understands complete video system design across live events, virtual production, and fixed installations, and they consistently push our platform in new directions."

For 4Wall, deploying the EX 3+ at this scale reflects a long-term commitment to equipping its teams and clients with the most capable technology in the industry, across any production environment.

Newland added, "Seeing 4Wall scale the EX 3+ across this much of their inventory is exactly the vision we had for the range, brought to life at scale. We look forward to seeing what they do with this technology."
