How bright does an outdoor LED wall need to be?

Resolution, Screen Size, and Technical Considerations

Outdoor LED walls typically need 4,000 to 6,000+ nits of brightness to be readable in direct sunlight. For context, a typical indoor LED panel runs around 800-1,200 nits, which would wash out to a dull gray under daylight conditions. If your event involves any daytime hours, semi-outdoor locations, or sun-facing screen positions, brightness should be a primary spec alongside pixel pitch and IP rating.
