What certifications and inspections do rigging equipment require?
Rigging Hardware & Safety
Rigging equipment must be regularly inspected and certified to remain in safe service. Chain motors require annual inspection and load testing, typically at 125% of rated capacity, performed by qualified technicians. The results are documented on certification tags or records that travel with the motor. Spansets, steels, shackles, and other hardware must be visually inspected before every use for damage, wear, deformation, or missing markings.
Any equipment that fails inspection, shows visible damage, or has expired certification must be taken out of service immediately. 4Wall performs thorough cleaning, inspection, quality control, and hoist certification on all returning rigging equipment to ensure every item ships in top condition
