What’s the difference between fine pitch and coarse pitch LED?

LED Pixel Pitch Basics

Fine pitch (also called narrow pixel pitch) generally refers to LED panels with a pixel pitch below 3mm, such as 1.5mm, 1.9mm, or 2.5mm. These are used for close-viewing applications like broadcast studios, control rooms, exhibitions, and corporate presentations where detail matters.

Coarse pitch refers to panels at 4mm and above (5.7mm, 8mm, etc.) used for large-scale applications like concert stages, festival screens, and outdoor displays where the audience is further away and raw brightness matters more than pixel density. 4Wall stocks both categories, ranging from 1.5mm fine-pitch options up through 8.33mm touring panels like the ROE Carbon CB8. Browse our full LED tile inventory here
