The Barco Ex Event Master Expansion Unit extends the I/O capacity of Event Master systems for rental productions. When linked to an E2 or S3-4K processor, the Ex adds additional inputs and outputs to expand scaling and switching across the entire system, while appearing to the host processor as integrated resources.

Key Features

• Flexible I/O slots: Two card slots configurable as inputs or outputs, supporting up to eight inputs or eight outputs using Event Master cards.
• Distributed routing: Inputs can be routed to other processors via the link cable, or to locally installed output cards. Outputs can source signals from remote systems over the link or from local input cards.
• Genlock and sync: Analog reference input on BNC, supporting blackburst and bi-level at SD, and tri-level at HD. An internal sync generator provides bi-level and tri-level reference output.
• Program and AUX outputs: Up to eight program outputs as defined in the linked E2 or S3-4K. Scaled auxiliary outputs are user definable, up to 8 at 2048x1200@60 or 2 at 4K@60.
• Stills and monitoring: Store up to 100 HD stills for Aux use. Ex inputs and outputs are available in the host processor multiviewer as if they were local resources.
• Standards and control: HDCP compliant. Managed via Event Master screen management software for PC or Mac, with Ethernet RJ-45 at 1000/100/10 Mbps autosense for control connectivity.
