Barco S3-4K BTO
DetailsFeatures
Description
The Barco S3-4K BTO is a modular, built-to-order video processing and routing engine provided for rental use. It delivers configurable I/O density and flexible scaling for preview and program outputs, letting you tailor a system to specific event or installation needs without full system reinstallation when capacity is increased.
Key Features
- Flexible pixel throughput: Configurable from 10 to 160 megapixels for preview/program mixes, and up to 640 megapixels @30p for program-only operation.
- Modular inputs: 1 to 24 input cards supporting combinations of SDI, HDMI 2.0, and DisplayPort 1.2. Typical ranges include 4 to 128 FHD inputs, 2 to 48 4K/UHD30 inputs, and 2 to 40 4K/UHD60 inputs depending on card mix.
- Versatile outputs: 1 to 24 output cards with up to 144 FHD outputs, 4 to 96 4K/UHD30 outputs, or up to 48 4K/UHD outputs depending on configuration.
- Broad signal support: SDI options from 4 to 96 SD/HD/3G and/or 2 to 48 6G/12G/2Si. HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.2 options support up to 8/10/12-bit 4:4:4 color.
- Native background mixing: Per-screen canvas background mixer and the ability to use multiple video backgrounds without relying on layered compositions.
- Scalable provisioning: Add capacity over time. Only added modules typically require configuration, reducing downtime and reprogramming effort.
Use Cases
- Live events where configurable routing density is required, such as concerts, conferences, or broadcast galleries.
- Temporary installations needing a mix of FHD and 4K outputs with predictable upgrade paths.
- Rental scenarios that require rapid redeployment and minimal system rework when adding inputs or outputs.
Included with your rental
- Configured S3-4K chassis with the requested input/output card mix and pixel capacity.
- System configuration to match the supplied I/O and routing plan, and standard firmware required for operation.
- Basic documentation including signal pinouts and user notes for common routing and background mixer operations.
- Optional technical support and on-site engineering can be arranged as an add-on based on event requirements.
If you need guidance on which card mix or pixel capacity best fits your event, include your expected input formats and required program/preview counts when requesting a rental.
