The Ross Ultrix FR5 is a modular 5RU matrix router designed for rental deployments that require high-density SDI and IP routing, extensive audio handling, and software-configurable processing. • Wide SMPTE support, compatible with common SMPTE 259M, 292M, 344M, and 424M. Optional 12G Ultrispeed license enables most SMPTE 2082 signals.
• Modular 5RU chassis, mix and match I/O boards and production switcher blades to match the configuration required for each rental job.
• Extensive frame sync capability, up to 160 frame syncs in 3G mode and up to 27 frame syncs when using 12G.
• Advanced audio processing, includes Ultrimix for embedded audio routing and mixing, audio SRC for all embedded channels, and up to 500 ms of variable delay per mono channel.
• Large discrete audio capacity, supports up to 1024×1024 discrete mono audio inputs when using the AUX I/O ports.
• Software-enabled features, many functions such as additional frame syncs and multiviewers can be activated via licenses for flexible upgrades.
