Project Manager

Location: Aylesbury

We are 4Wall, a global video, lighting, rigging company. We deliver audio visual and technical solution installations at live, hybrid and virtual events worldwide. With 3 UK locations and 14 across the US, we work with some of the best-known brands and artists around the world, delivering the very latest video, lighting and rigging equipment.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to join our growing project management team.  The role is based in Aylesbury, our location best known for delivering large-scale AV to some of the greatest festivals in Europe, including Parklife, Glastonbury and Boardmasters and the delivery of high profile global tours for artists such as Coldplay, The Stereophonics, Liam Gallagher and more.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of project management within the touring and festival sector, the ability to organise, multitask and prioritise in a fast paced environment, along with technical knowledge and outstanding client service skills.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Project management of audio visual technical solutions from conception to delivery on concerts, shows and events worldwide
  • Travelling globally to oversee and manage events on-site
  • Fully oversee all aspects of projects from initial design, budgeting, planning and preparation through to delivery and post event review meetings
  • Building, nurturing and developing client relationships
  • Carrying out site visits / venue assessments
  • Taking a client brief, and providing a quotation that is both commercially and technically sound, in a timely fashion
  • Outlining project timeframes and budgets.  Maintaining control of project costs, helping to ensure that projects generate specified profit margins whilst maintaining exceptionally high quality standards
  • Working with technical drawings and plans, liaising with our technical team to obtain CAD drawings and 3D visualisations
  • Sourcing and managing suppliers
  • On site management of all internal crew and external contractors as required
  • Adhering to and the promotion of company policies and procedures
  • Maintaining Health and Safety standards and ensuring on-site Health and Safety briefings are held

 

Qualifications and pre-requisites

  • Experience in project management of live technical events within the touring and festival sector. 
  • A broad technical understanding (ideally across all areas of video, sound, lighting and IT).
  • Commercial awareness and Budgetary skills - demonstrate a clear understanding of company business and the ability to effectively balance cost, quality and ensure profitability.
  • Meticulous planning skills and attention to detail.
  • The ability to work effectively across multiple projects within a fast paced environment and delegate appropriately
  • Flexibility to deal with the demands of working in the live event industry with the ability to facilitate overtime including early mornings, late evening and some weekend working
  • The ability and willingness to travel – it is expected that you will predominantly be working in and around the London area, however you will need to travel to our head office in Harlow Essex and further afield as required
  • Highly client focused (as delivering the best quality service to our clients is at the heart of what we do)
  • Strong, positive leadership skills with the ability to command respect, engage, motivate and gain commitment from others
  • Willingness to comply with and support company procedures and policies
  • A great team player
  • Full clean UK Driving licence
  • Rigging experience preferred but not essential
