AV Technician

Location: UK - London

We are currently seeking an experienced AV Technician to join our technical team at 4Wall.

Together, our technical team are responsible for the transport, build, assembly, operation and maintenance of our technical equipment and they deliver a wide variety of productions to the highest standard in broadcast and live performance.

We’re looking for a candidate with extensive experience as an AV Technician within a live production event environment, ideally across permanent install, exhibition and studio environments.  

The successful candidate will be a diligent and dedicated technical all-rounder with an aptitude for learning new skills, have a can-do attitude, be a problem solver and enjoy a challenge. 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Set up, operate and breakdown equipment pertaining to an event
  • Assist in the execution of specific projects when required from concept to delivery
  • Provide appropriate technical support for the events undertaken
  • Provide technical assistance to other Technicians when required
  • Prepare technical schematics
  • Use CAD software to accurately plan events when required
  • Pulling and preparing equipment for jobs
  • Any other reasonable duties as required 

Qualifications and pre-requisites

  • Broad knowledge of audio, video, networking and lighting techniques is essential.
  • Demonstrated technical/electronics training and/or experience is required.
  • Must have good troubleshooting and repair skills.
  • Must be creative and resourceful.
  • Must be able to take directions as well as multitask in a fast-paced environment without supervision.
  • Must have a positive attitude, be team-orientated and have great customer service skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with co-workers and clients, often under deadline pressure.
  • Must be able to lift 25kg, duties include loading and unloading trucks.
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
  • Excellent hearing and manual dexterity.

Working hours

Must be available to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends, as required.
